Hog Hollow Country Lodge sits inside a private nature reserve on the edge of Tsitsikamma forest, above the Garden Route.
Hog Hollow Country Lodge has stood here since 1993, eighteen kilometres from Plettenberg Bay in The Crags, where indigenous forest presses in close on every side. Below the lodge, the Matjies River Gorge cuts toward the Tsitsikamma Mountains; from the decks, that whole tranquil forest retreat opens out in front of you. It is a serene country escape built for long, unhurried days, and a fitting basecamp for exploring the rest of the Garden Route.
Suites with wood-burning fireplaces and private viewing decks look out over indigenous forest and the Tsitsikamma Mountains beyond.
Set apart from the main lodge, with its own private viewing deck over the gorge and a fireplace built for two. It is where Hog Hollow's guests come for a romantic forest honeymoon, away from the lodge but never far from the fire at the Boma.
A standard luxury suite moments from the main lodge and the Boma, with a king-size bed and forest views.

Evening at the Boma
Boma mornings begin with coffee and the first birdsong; by dusk the same fire pit gathers the lodge for traditional Boma dining, under a sky the forest keeps dark enough for stars.
A forest sauna and outdoor pool share a wide deck built for slow afternoons, birdwatching, and long views toward the mountains.
Hog Hollow welcomes a small number of guests at a time, so the forest, the fire, and the view stay yours for as long as you stay.
